Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the second posting of the year!  Did you happen to catch the two hour showing of Agent Carter this past Tuesday?  If not, I would suggest you snuggle up nice and cozy next Tuesday and watch.  I think this show is FAR better than Marvel’s Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. in character development, writing and the plot.  In case you didn’t realize it, it is the same Agent Carter from both Captain America and Winter Soldier movies played by Hayley Atwell reprising the role on the small screen.  It starts out with easter eggs clips from the Captain America Movie and the Marvel One-Shot(on DVD.)  From there, they build on the Marvel One-shot where her character just trying to get an assignment as her male counterparts.   In the One-Shot, we see her moving on to the Directorship of what would be S.H.I.E.L.D. but this adds more dimensions to her. Especially after the war and still pining for Steve Rogers a.k.a. Captain America.  Also reprising their roles are the lead “boss” from the short but Howard Stark (played by Dominic Cooper) and also meet  Jarvis, Howard’s Butler.

The pace of the show isn’t dull or slow.  It was hard explaining to my little girls why she had to put up with “servile” roles of getting coffee, sandwiches and just answering the phones especially since she was far more intelligent than the men.  Once you get past that and enjoy how she “plays” them (the Men), it moves from one plot point to the next. Something Agents of had done upon their initial start.  Don’t get me wrong, enjoying that show now but Agent Carter had a clear direction of where the showing was beginning, a clear middle and the end game, I sit anxiously awaiting it.  Wishing that the Invaders from the comic books  would make their mark but one pipe dream at a time.

This is my first week of doing the illustration business full-time and have to say, what a blast! I had volunteered for doing a pinup and spent my time wisely taking it from initial concepts to the final colouring stages this week.  Completed it today since I had to redraw somethings.  Artist are their own worst critiques and could not let the error I saw go by.  Of course, once you do that, you tend to spot more and more and just have to push past that.  I cannot share it yet but am happy that my organization and process flow has worked out.  I will have to “tweak” it going forward since my first hour spent on marketing my store fronts but will get there.  Overall, I don’t think this week was bad at all and meeting all my goals.  I’ll post the pick once I’ve gotten the go ahead and until then, I’ll post some more very soon.

As  always, follow me on Facebook, Twitter, pinterest or instagram.

Cheers!
